Robert Hill

Robert is experienced in handling all types of employment-related litigation, including substantial High Court claims for breach of contract and injunctions to enforce restrictive covenants. He has handled the defence of all kinds of Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, equal pay and discrimination of all types.

Robert has extensive experience of advising on the TUPE aspects of mergers, acquisitions and outsourcing transactions and TUPE-related claims arising from them.

Robert has broad experience in steering clients through major business reorganisations and has advised on the design and implementation of many successful redundancy programmes.

He is a regular speaker and writer on all areas of employment law and is an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association and European Employment Lawyers Association. Robert is also recommended for employment law in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

Experience

• Advising Lloyd's underwriters in the defence of High Court proceedings for breach of confidence and including breach of contract arising out of a team hire.

• Advising a leading investment management company on the defence of claims related to the history of a number of employees from a competitor.

• Advising a logistics company on the defence of claim by a union for failure to consult appropriately in relation to a collective redundancy situation.

• Advising on international business process providers on the restructuring and off-shoring of a substantial part of the business.
