Richard Harrison is a partner in the firm's Professional and Commercial Disputes Department and heads up the Lawyers’ Professional Liability Sub-Group. He specialises in commercial dispute resolution, in particular on behalf of law firms and barristers and has particular expertise in professional liability matters, disciplinary proceedings & investigations and insurance policy disputes.
Richard has extensive experience of handling complex claims involving law firms and barristers, with a particular focus on cases involving dishonesty and fraud. He has been closely involved in some of the leading authorities in this area, including Dubai Aluminium Ltd v Salaam and Ors and Attorney General of Zambia v Meer Care & Desai (A Firm).
Richard has more than 25 years' experience of English civil litigation in the High Court and Appeal Courts, arbitration and mediation.
He regularly speaks on issues relating to law firm liability and risk management.
