Peter is Head of Competition and Antitrust (International) and is a partner in our Competition, Trade and Foreign Investment group.
Peter has extensive experience of advising clients on all aspects of competition and foreign investment / national security law. 
He is recognised for his work in securing competition and national security / foreign investment clearances for strategic and substantively challenging cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures from UK and European regulators as well as from other regulators internationally. In particular, Peter has advised merging parties on a number of high profile, in-depth Phase 2 merger investigations.
Peter has an established track record in advising clients on market investigations and other regulatory inquiries as well as on cartel and abuse of dominance investigations. He regularly advises clients on strategic UK and cross-border compliance matters.
Peter is recommended in Chambers as a notable practitioner where he is praised for his “ability to handle difficult merger control cases”, his “calm and measured approach” and his "almost unique level of experience”. He is recommended in Who’s Who Legal for competition law.
Peter is a regular speaker on merger control and competition law issues and has experience working in-house having spent time on secondment to the competition team of a leading financial institution.
