Peter is a partner in our Competition, EU and Trade group. He has over 10 years’ experience advising clients on a broad range of competition issues working in London, Brussels and Madrid.
Peter has extensive experience of obtaining merger control clearances for high profile and strategic UK and global acquisitions and joint ventures. His practice also includes advising clients on market investigations, market studies and other regulatory inquiries as well as on behavioural investigations and compliance matters.
He has particular expertise in the financial services and payments sectors where he has a long track record of advising on market studies and other actions taken by regulators including the European Commission, the CMA, the FCA and the Payment Systems Regulator. Peter also advises clients in regulated sectors particularly in the water industry.
Peter is a regular speaker on merger control and competition law issues and has experience working in-house having spent time on secondment to the competition team of a leading financial institution.
