Péter is a senior counsel in the Dispute Resolution team at CMS Budapest.
Péter has gained significant experience in the field of international arbitration and litigation as well as in insolvency, enforcement and customs proceedings, in addition to at the field of compliance during he spent his secondment at a major German company. He has a deep understanding of construction disputes especially those regulated by FIDIC-based contracts. Péter prepared several legal opinions and analyses submitted to arbitral tribunals on questions related to the interpretation of Sub-Clauses 2.1, 3.5, 13, 14 and 20.1 of both the Hungarian and English versions of the FIDIC Yellow Book and FIDIC Red Book, and is also familiar with the relevant international practices of FIDIC-based construction disputes. He also carried out extensive research on the enforcement of DAB Decisions and the tri-level dispute resolution structure provided by FIDIC.
Péter worked for CMS’ Banking Team from 2007 to 2011, so he is also well-placed to serve clients in banking and financing related matters.
