Steven Zhao’s practice focuses on fund formation, private equity, wealth management, and general corporate matters. He has abundant experience advising on many influential projects in these areas.
In the field of fund establishment, Steven has represented renowned domestic and international private equity management institutions such as China Life, CICC Capital, CBRE, Blackstone, New Alliance Capital, China Renaissance, and SMIC Fund in setting up hundreds of investment funds. His investment-related experience spans biomedicine, real estate, insurance, high-end manufacturing, and artificial intelligence. Regarding private equity investment, Steven has participated in the private financing of enterprises in sectors such as TMT, medical, and high-end manufacturing, and on behalf of several funds under well-known institutions, including CICC Capital, China Renaissance, Softbank Asia, China Life Insurance, 3E Bioventures Capital, Meridian Capital China, and GL Capital Group. Additionally, he has provided legal consulting services to Intesa SanPaolo for its asset management business in China.
