Career
Since March 2019, Pedro Marques Bom has been a partner at Cuatrecasas, where he coordinates the Competition and European Law Practice.
He advises on high profile cases in all fields of Competition and European Law, with a particular focus on antitrust.
Between 2013 and 2019, he was the Director-General of Investigation at the Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC), while also being Director of the Legal and Litigation area, making him responsible for the ADC’s entire operation area (restrictive practices, merger control and litigation).
From 2007 to 2008, he was consultant and advisor to the board of the AdC, and from 2006 to 2007, he was director of the Defense of Competition Service at the Portuguese Healthcare Regulation Authority (ERS). Between 2003 and 2006, he acted as legal advisor to the AdC’s Merger Control Department.
Publications
Having published work in books and magazines specialized in his field, he also frequently participates as a guest speaker at conferences, as well as for degree and postgraduate courses on competition law and economics, in both Portugal and abroad.
