He has been an assistant lecturer at Universidade Católica Portuguesa since 2001. From 2011 to 2013, he was director of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil and, from 2000 to 2001, he was deputy officer at the Portuguese Ombudsman’s Office. He is, since 2025, chairman of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
He is a member of the Harvard Club of Portugal.
He is qualified to practice in Portugal, Brazil (São Paulo), England and Wales (solicitor) and in New York (attorney and counselor at law).
He is the author of the book A Imputação de Direitos de Voto no Mercado de Capitais (Assigning voting rights in the capital market), Universidade Católica Editora and contributed to the book Livro Branco sobre Corporate Governance em Portugal (White book on corporate governance in Portugal), Instituto Português de Corporate Governance.
