Patricio Prieto is the head of the Capital Markets and Insurance and Reinsurance practices at Prieto.

In the insurance field, he has been involved in the creation, approval, and operation of insurance companies and regularly advises them on M&A processes, regulatory matters, bancassurance matters, and insurance distribution. Additionally, he provides guidance on policy drafting and the development of new insurance products. He also participates in negotiations and litigation related to insurance claims. Furthermore, he represents various international reinsurers operating in Chile.

He has also advised numerous national and international clients on the formation and management of both public and private investment funds, as well as on the formation of private equity funds, venture capital funds, and feeder funds. He has extensive experience in advising startups, both on their daily operations and on financial matters.

Patricio has been recognized in international rankings as a leading partner in the Capital Markets area.

He has been a board member of Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones Habitat and Quest Administradora General de Fondos. He is currently a board member of Larrain Vial Activos Administradora General de Fondos.

Patricio joined Prieto in 2002 and has been a partner since 2014.
