Career
Agustín Martorell is the head of the Environmental department at Prieto.
He leads the environmental team and provides legal advice to both domestic and international clients on project development in all their phases. He has worked in energy, sanitary, mining, real estate, fishing, aquiculture and infrastructure industries.
He has experience in project development, particularly in energy and natural resource exploitation, representing national and internacional companies before governmental authorities and agencies, including permitting, administrative procedures, environmental judicial actions, environmental assessment processes, among others. Additionally, he has collaborated on transactions and the financing of significant projects, reviewing permits related to transactions in the energy and mining industries.
Agustín Martorell has been a speaker at various national conferences related to Environmental Law and serves as a director in the Chilean Association of Desalination and Reuse. He is actively involved in organizations such as Acesol, Achidam, and the Chilean Chamber of Construction, among others. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Chilean Environmental Law Association, participating in various discussions on environmental regulations and case law.
He has been recognized in multiple international rankings as a leading partner in the Environmental Law area and has been particularly praised by his clients for his high level of expertise and specific knowledge in the field.
Agustín joined Prieto in 2018 and has been partner since 2022.
