Oscar Trelles heads the Cuatrecasas M&A Practice in Latin America and coordinates the Private Equity Practice in the Lima office. He also specializes in financing and project finance. He has participated in some of the most sophisticated and important national and international transactions, including multijurisdictional transactions, in recent years.

Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked in different international law firms in Lima and New York, including Curtis, Mallet - Prevost, Colt & Mosle and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he participated in complex multijurisdictional transactions.

Oscar is a member of the New York and Lima bar associations.

He contributes to publications and writes legal articles for different specialized journals and other written media.

He lectures on M&A and project finance in the Master of Laws at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and in the International Financial Management Program at Universidad de Piura.

Recently, he has led the following matters, among others:

-Minsur. He advised on the US$340 million sale of the Taboca mine in Brazil.

- Ashmore Renewables. He advised on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Ergon Perú S.A.C. and Tre Perú S.A.C. from their shareholders Tozzi Green S.P.A. and Gardini 2002 S.R.L.

- Ignis Energy. He advised on the sale of three renewables projects: (i) the Algarrobo Project to Kallpa (180.6 MW wind project in Lambayeque, Peru), which has already been signed.

- Grupo Chema. He advised on the agreement to sell 100% of the shares of the companies that make up Grupo Chema.
