Career

Roberto Guerrero has centered his practice on the areas of commercial, corporate and finance law. Representing national and international clients—including US, European and Asian multinationals—he has participated in designing, negotiating and implementing complex deals in many sectors of the economy, such as commerce, energy, finance, fishing, food and beverages, industry, infrastructure, mining, services, and telecommunications. He focuses on high-impact advisory services and transactions, which have earned him international recognition.

Personal

He is a professor of the School of Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he has lectured on commercial law since 1995. From 2010 to 2015, he served as the dean of the School of Law, after having served as vice dean, and previously as director of studies of the Master in Business Law.

Work Highlights

His portfolio of M&A transactions is extensive. Some examples include:

• GFT: Acquisition of Sophos Solutions, a Colombian company from Advent International, a private equity firm.

• CAP: Acquisition of Mitsubishi Corporation's 49% stake in Cleanairtech Sudamérica S.A.

• Cintac: (i)Acquisition of the remaining 25% stake in Promet Servicios; and (ii) Obtaining shareholder approval for a capital increase via the issuance of new shares.

• Artefact: Strategic acquisition of 100% of the shares of Brain Food.
