Experience

He has been heavily involved in numerous privatizations of State-owned companies and the recapitalization of the Greek systemic banks since 2012.

Nikos has vast experience advising on the structuring and financing of mergers and acquisitions, including take-over bids, corporate reorganisations and restructurings and equity and debt offerings.

Nikos holds a Degree in Law from the Democritus University of Thrace and a Certificate in International and EC Law (Licence Spéciale en Droit Comparé) from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is admitted to the Athens Bar (1993) and the Athens Court of Appeals (1999).

Work Highlights

Nikos advised INTRAKAT on their acquisition of 100% of AKTOR from ELLAKTOR and AKTOR CONCESSIONS. He advised Pancreta Bank in connection with its investment in Attica Bank, along with Thrivest Holding Ltd and the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund.

He also Piraeus Bank in connection with the issuance and offering to institutional investors pursuant to a bookbuilding process of €500m principal amount of Senior Preferred Bond due 2028 and the listing thereof on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

He acted as ad hoc legal counsel to INTRAKAT SA and LAVIPHARM SA in connection with their equity capital raisings of €100m and €51.2m respectively and the listing of their new shares on the Athens Exchange, which completed in January 2023 and December 2022 respectively.
