Michelle Mantine

Michelle leads Reed Smith’s global antitrust and competition team. Her practice touches nearly all industries and geographies, but she is particularly experienced representing clients in the manufacturing, technology, private equity, health care, pharmaceutical, financial, entertainment and media, and energy sectors.

Michelle takes a hands-on approach to solving her cross-industry and cross-border clients’ low and high-stake antitrust problems across all fronts (litigation, transactional, counseling, and compliance). She regularly represents clients in disputes relating to price-fixing, market allocation, bid rigging, monopolization, and unfair competition claims, as well as no-poach, wage fixing, tying, and other agreements. Michelle is pragmatic in guiding clients through pre- and post-merger antitrust issues including filings pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, information sharing matters, and substantive antitrust reviews in the merger context. She frequently provides clients with guidance on the antitrust aspects of ESG issues relating to mergers and acquisitions, collaborations with competitors, and in the trade association context.

Michelle is also savvy in crafting strategies for clients to help them comply with government investigations and subpoenas, and she is proactive in developing and implementing customized antitrust compliance programs and training.
