Meg George serves as managing partner of Akerman's Chicago office and is the youngest person appointed to the firm's Board of Directors and Executive Committee. With a strong background in land use, she is highly sought after for her expertise to cut through the regulatory thicket to secure approvals for vital property deals, representing some of the most prominent land-use developers throughout the United States. Meg has experience with real estate and municipal law matters, including the acquisition, sale, and development of real estate, land use and zoning, licensing, permitting, subdivision, and other real estate matters. Meg serves on the Board of Directors for the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and is a member of the Chicago Sustainability Task Force where she assisted in drafting the city’s sustainability matrix.
