May Smith

May has an international corporate tax practice focusing primarily on transactional work. She specialises in private and public M&A, joint ventures, capital markets, funds structuring and restructurings, typically with complex, cross-border aspects.

May works across a wide range of sectors but has particular experience in advising life sciences, tech and consumer goods groups, as well as financial investors and investment funds.

May has been a partner at Freshfields since 2017.
