Florian Klimscha

Practice Areas

Florian is a partner in and head of the Vienna global transactions practice. He specialises in banking and finance, with a focus on debt financing products (including acquisitions, real estate and projects) as well as special situations and restructurings/insolvency. Florian also has a select regulatory (banking/payments) practice and advises corporates and financial institutions in ESG related matters, transactions and governance issues.

Career

Florian joined Freshfields in 2004, and has been a partner since 2013. Previously, he worked for the Austrian Financial Market Authority.

Florian completed his education at the University of Vienna (Dr iur), Vienna University of Economics and Business, and the London School of Economics (LL.M). He speaks German and English.
