Restructuring & insolvency
Madhav Kanoria is a Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and is based out of the Firm’s Mumbai office.
He is currently a part of the Firm’s firm’s Insolvency and Restructuring practice and specializes in corporate insolvency and banking related litigation and regularly advises various stakeholders in insolvency proceedings. He has also worked in the Firm’s Debt Capital Markets practice, where he was frequently advising issuers and banks on their domestic and international bond offerings.
Madhav’s select key experiences in creditor representation include advising creditors in the CIRP of VOVL Limited, advising creditors in the CIRP of SKS Power Generation Chhattisgarh Limited, advising creditors in the CIRP of Coastal Energen Private Limited and advising creditors in CIRP of Meenakshi Energy Limited. Madhav’s select Resolution Professional representation including advising Resolution Professional of Hiranmaye Energy Limited, Resolution Professional of Sharan Bio-Medicine Limited, and Resolution professional of AMW Autocomponent Limited. Madhav has also advised some of the bidders including Reliance Projects & Property Management Services Limited in its resolution plan for acquisition of Reliance Infratel Limited and Adani Power Limited in its acquisition of Lanco Amarkantak Limited. Madhav is advising the bidders in the insolvency of the Future group of companies. Madhav is also advising committee of creditors in the CIRP of Aircel group entities (the very first telecommunication industry related insolvency process). His other significant experiences include advising the committee of creditors of Videocon group companies (which is the first instance of group insolvency).
