Pranav has over 23 years of specialist experience in banking & finance and debt capital markets.
He is qualified to practice both Indian and English law and has worked on a very wide range of banking and finance transactions across various offshore jurisdictions besides India. Pranav worked for over 6 years in the Banking group at Linklaters LLP in London. He has advised banks and non-bank lenders, multilateral institutions, export credit agencies, sovereigns and governmental agencies, state-owned enterprises, companies and private equity sponsors across a vast spectrum of financings - both in India and abroad.
Pranav has in-depth experience across acquisition finance, commodity or receivables backed finance, ECA backed finance, real estate finance, securitisations and structured and trade finance besides advising banks and non-bank financial institutions on a range of regulatory matters. He has acted on several first of their kind transactions or award-winning deals in India.
He has acted for lenders or creditors (both domestic and foreign) as well as the sponsors and the project company on project financings including the roads and highways, power, telecommunications, hotel and steel sectors in India.
Pranav has extensive experience in international as well as domestic debt securities offerings by Indian companies - both public as well as privately placed issuances, and restructurings of such issuances. Besides advising on several issuances of Rupee and USD denominated bonds, he has also acted for the lead manager(s) or the issuer company in several offerings of foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) and global depositary receipts (GDRs).
Pranav had joined erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. in 2013 and was with the firm until 2021. Pranav has rejoined CAM in 2024 as an Equity Partner in its Finance Practice. He will He has also worked with Linklaters LLP in their banking group in London. Prior to joining CAM, he has worked with a leading Indian law firm. He is qualified in both Indian and English law.
