Career
Laurence Dumure Lambert is the Partner in charge of the Employment Law practice at the Paris office.
She assists French and international clients, across a wide range of industry and services sectors, with the day-to-day management of both individual and collective work relations.
She also advises clients on strategic and legal issues in large scale restructuring projects. She is known for her expertise in the implementation of collective redundancies and the resolution of collective disputes. She has also handled litigation relating to joint employers situations within corporate groups.
Her dual experience in Commercial Law and Employment Law has enabled her to develop specific expertise with respect to the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and private equity, in particular as concerns acquisition audits, transfer of staff and the information / consultation of employee representative bodies. In addition, she regularly works on various Employment Law issues such as working time, equal pay, compensation plans and employment related data protection.
She is familiar with compliance work such as implementing business code of ethics, anti-discrimination and anti- harassment policies, disciplinary sanctions and whistleblowing lines.
With her team she has also developed an expertise in the negotiation of the departure of corporate officers, the termination of corporate mandates and the disinvestment of management packages.
She handles disputes related to all these issues before the employment, administrative and civil courts.
She also provides training sessions on various aspects of Employment Law and teach at the HEAD (Hautes Etudes Appliquées du Droit).
Her educational background includes a Master Degree (DESS) in Tax and Business Law and a Magistère in Business Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas. She also holds a Human Resources Executive Master from Sciences Po Paris and she passed the Paris Bar in 1989.
Before joining Fieldfisher, she worked at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and created and managed the Employment Law department of Mayer Brown in Paris for 14 years.
She is bi-lingual speaking fluent English.
