Hélène Lefebvre heads the banking and finance practice at Fieldfisher Paris, and is a leading expert in debt finance.
She has over 20 years' experience spent in advising international and domestic arrangers, lenders, mezzanine lenders, debt funds and borrowers, for transactions involving asset finance (real estate and moveable assets), acquisition finance, corporate finance and restructuring. She also has significant experience in the acquisition of performing or non-performing loan receivables.
The industry sectors she specialises in cover financial institutions, real estate (development, offices, logistics, retail, hotels & leisure), environmental clean-up, IT, fintech and media.
She has been involved in many major projects, including the recent financing of the construction of the Highlight building in Courbevoie.
She is described as "taking care of her clients, being very focused on the deals, being excellent in negotiation, where she is always a step ahead, and knowing how to find mutually acceptable solutions for both parties".
Her strengths are pragmatism and innovation. She values a hands-on approach, being involved at all stages of a transaction and ensuring that the agreements she drafts are as "user friendly" as possible, always bearing in mind that they are mostly implemented by non-lawyers. She is also not afraid of looking into new structures, new areas of law, or of adopting new IT tools to best serve my clients.
