Career
Marie-Léonie Vergnerie is in charge of the Industrial Environment & Circular Economy Department of the Paris office.
She provides advice, litigation and forensic expertise to international companies, particularly in the waste, chemicals, aeronautics, aerospace, automotive, logistics and renewable energy sectors.
She assists at all stages of projects, providing day-to-day support on operational management issues, facilitating relationships with the authorities and assisting with the negotiation and drafting of environmental provisions in M&A and real estate transactions.
She has acquired recognized expertise in waste management and circular economy issues (waste/products, extended producer responsibility schemes, etc.) and in the management of contaminated land (on-site and off-site health risk management, brownfield redevelopment, third party applicants, etc.).
She is a graduate of the Universities of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne (Master of Private Law, 1997; DEA in Environmental Law, 1998) and the University of London King's College (LLB, 1997). She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2000.
Before joining Fieldfisher, she built up a very solid practice over 13 years with the Winston & Strawn Environment team.
She is bilingual in French and English.
