Practice focuses almost exclusively on energy tax credit matters, including transactions involving the development, purchase and sale and the tax equity financing and/or tax credit transfers of solar, wind, fuel cell, landfill gas, energy storage technologies, qualified biogas property, clean transportation fuel, carbon capture and sequestration, open-loop biomass, and geothermal facilities. Advises on obtaining private letter rulings and public guidance from the IRS on energy tax credit transactions and issues, and in connection with IRS audits, federal legislative matters and Congressional investigations relating to energy tax credits.
