With over 32 years residency in Asia with extended periods in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Laos, and Indonesia, and over 40 years of practice experience in infrastructure development, finance and M&A transactions, Ed advises a wide range of US, European and Asian sponsors, lenders, investors, government enterprises and other project participants in all aspects of the development, acquisition, financing (including project, commercial, multi-lateral and structured finance) and divestiture of thermal and renewable power projects as well as water, railway and other infrastructure projects, throughout Asia and cross-continental in the United States and Europe. Ed also specializes in representations of domestic and cross-border companies and consortia in joint venture, shareholder, strategic and financial partnering arrangements. His recent notable deals include representing the sponsors in the successful completion of a major logistics port and the continuing development and financing of the first inter-connected railway between Lao and a Vietnam seaport , representing the project company owned by a multi-national group of sponsors in the successful development and financing of the 600 MW Monsoon cross border wind facility in Lao and Vietnam, and the strategic interest private equity acquisition for a major Asian energy listed corporation in multiple thermal and renewable power facilities in the United States.
