Ayesha Waheed is a member of the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure practice, bringing more than 30 years of market leading experience advising on high value project and corporate financings across the energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors. Known for her commercial approach and ability to navigate complex, multi stakeholder transactions, Ayesha represents developers, sponsors, lenders, and financial institutions on some of the most significant oil and gas (in particular LNG), metals and mining, power, and large scale infrastructure projects globally, with a strong emphasis on Emerging Markets.
A trusted advisor to clients, Ayesha is recognized for structuring and negotiating innovative, bankable solutions for frontier and sophisticated markets alike. Her work spans the full life cycle of project development and financing, from early-stage structuring to financial close, refinancing, and acquisition financings. Dual-qualified in New York and England & Wales, she regularly acts for sponsors, multilateral and development finance institutions, export credit agencies, institutional investors, and leading commercial banks on financings for projects around the world.
