Practice Areas
Practice focuses almost exclusively on energy tax credit matters, including tax credit transactions involving the development, purchase and sale and tax equity financing of solar, wind, fuel cell, landfill gas, energy storage technologies, qualified biogas property, carbon capture and sequestration, open-loop biomass, and geothermal facilities. Assists clients in connection with the purchase or sale of energy tax credits in Section 6418 tax credit transfer transactions. Counsels clients with respect to the negotiation and binding of tax indemnity insurance policies for coverage related to tax credit qualification matters. Advises on obtaining private letter rulings and public guidance from the IRS on energy tax credit transactions and issues, and in connection with IRS audits, federal legislative matters and Congressional investigations relating to energy tax credits. Member of the Solar Energy Industries Association, Member of SEIA’s Board of Directors and Vice Chair of SEIA’s Solar Services & Consumers Division.
