Jim has been based in Asia for over 25 years and has advised during that time on various projects in multiple countries for both inbound and outbound investments. He has led or been involved in structuring and documentation for development, financing, construction, operation, maintenance, management services, and compliance involving, among others, power plants and other infrastructure of different types including rail, hotels and resorts, and office towers. He has participated in complex cross border M&A including in carrying out and reporting on due diligence and negotiating risk allocations in purchase and shareholder arrangements. He has advised borrowers on all aspects of project development and documentation, facilities, and compliance. Notable recent projects include: the 600 MW Monsoon Wind project in Lao PDR; the 500 MW Quezon Project in the Philippines, the 500 MW San Buenaventura project in the Philippines; investment and subsequent exit by a NYSE-listed private equity firm in the Maha Nakhon high-rise mixed-use project in Thailand, a wind project in Cambodia, two baseload plants and a transmission line in Cambodia, and a luxury resort and villas in Koh Samui, Thailand.
