Kerry Shad represents employers in connection with all aspects of employment-related litigation and counseling in multiple industries including pharmaceutical, financial, technology, biotech, insurance and hospital/health care. Kerry has extensive experience representing companies in individual, class and collective action discrimination and wage and hour claims at the agency level and in state and federal court and in arbitration; serving as “in house” employment litigation counsel for a large company managing litigation in jurisdictions across the country; conducting internal harassment and employee misconduct investigations; and advising companies on a variety of employment-related risk management issues.
Kerry has been a Partner since 1999; is listed in Best Lawyers in America and North Carolina Super Lawyers; and is very actively involved in Firm leadership, including as an elected member of Smith Anderson’s Management Committee, including chair of the compensation process, and co-chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
