Practice Areas
Katherine practises in employment, education and public law. She has acted for and against large financial institutions, local authorities, government departments, retailers and small charities. Her current and recent cases include the Supreme Court holiday pay case of East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust v Flowers (led by Sean Jones KC), R (Driver) v Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC [2020] EWHC 2071 (Admin) (led by Julian Milford KC) on school reorganisation, and JW [2019] ELR 259 on disability discrimination in the Upper Tribunal. Katherine has a particular interest in employment and public law work with an education element. She has recently been involved in a number of judicial review claims and private law actions against Higher Education institutions, and appears regularly in the First-Tier and Upper Tribunal in disability discrimination and special educational needs cases.
