Julianne Moore

I am a Partner in the Medical Negligence team, based in Sheffield, where I lead a team of lawyers. I have specialised in medical negligence for over 15 years and I handle a variety of claims. I have particular interest and expertise in:

- Birth injury claims, including cerebral palsy, neonatal deaths and stillbirth

- Amputation claims

- Spinal injury claims

- Cauda Equina claims

- Cancer claims

- Fatal claims including inquests, surgical claims and cosmetic surgery claims.

I have expertise in the assessment of maximum severity claims and am also experienced in the preparation of complex schedules of loss and damage, which value the level of compensation for patients who have been injured as a result of negligent medical treatment.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor I was a Senior Operating Department Practitioner in the NHS where I gained extensive medical and surgical experience. This has proved to be invaluable in my day to day work as a medical negligence solicitor.

I regularly lecture to other lawyers and healthcare professionals in respect of medical negligence and patient safety, including for AvMA, SIA and the Expert Witness Institute.
