João advises local and international investors, developers and lenders on Portugal’s most significant real estate deals, including both asset and share deals, notably those structured on a forward funding or forward purchase basis with underlying turnkey developments. He also assists clients with the structuring of real estate investment vehicles and joint ventures, sale-and-leaseback transactions, and the development of their real estate projects.
His practice covers a broad range of asset classes, including retail parks, shopping centres, offices, logistics, PBSA, residential and tourism projects.
He also has experience negotiating W&I and title insurance policies in the Portuguese market.
João is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a regular speaker in seminars and conferences on corporate real estate matters.
