Jeffrey H. Cohen is consistently recognized as one of the leading M&A and private equity lawyers in Southern California and served as leader of the Corporate Group in Skadden’s Los Angeles office for nearly 20 years. He represents both buyers and sellers, including strategic buyers and sellers, entrepreneurs and family businesses, as well as private equity funds and their portfolio companies, in large and middle-market mergers and acquisitions, investments and dispositions around the world. In addition, he has counseled clients on numerous investments in distressed debt and acquisitions of distressed businesses. Mr. Cohen’s representations have included clients in an array of industries, such as apparel, beauty, consumer, energy, fintech, food, gaming, mobile gaming, retail, spirits and sports and media, among others.
