James Hall has more than 25 years’ experience advising major employers on complex employment, industrial relations and work health and safety matters. He has acted for clients in high-stakes matters, particularly in the energy and resources sectors, and also advises clients across a broad range of industries including transport, retail and construction.
James advises on high-risk industrial strategy, enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes, as well as workforce restructuring and executive employment matters. He regularly conducts employment and industrial litigation across state and federal courts and tribunals, including proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia and appeals before the Full Court of the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia.
James also advises on work health and safety matters, including regulatory investigations and proceedings, and provides strategic advice to boards and senior executives on managing sensitive workplace issues such as large-scale underpayment matters and complex workplace investigations.
