Alastair Gourlay is a banking and finance partner at Jones Day in Australia with over 20 years of experience representing private credit funds, financial institutions, sponsors, and corporates on cross-border leveraged finance and private credit transactions. Alastair advises on Australian and English law and in recent years has advised various private credit funds and financial institutions on the take-private unitranche acquisition financing for TPG Capital's acquisition of Invocare; the first and second lien lenders on the Term Loan B financing for EQT's acquisition of the Icon Group; a lending syndicate of more than 20 global financial institutions on the AU$1.5 billion multicurrency syndicated sustainability linked loan facility for Ramsay Health Care and various funds and financiers on funds financings, including financing to Global Infrastructure Partners and OPTrust, a Canadian pension fund. Alastair is currently ranked as a Leading Partner for banking and finance in Legal 500 and in Chambers Asia-Pacific for both acquisition finance and corporate finance.
