Ivy Jones

IVY JONES practices primarily in the areas of federal corporate and partnership taxation. She has extensive experience in the planning and implementation of complex transactions and in the resolution of multifaceted tax issues. Ivy has been regularly involved in tax matters affecting publicly traded and privately held real estate investment trusts, including in the context of large-scale mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations and securities offerings. Ivy also provides tax advice to investment managers of hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds, with respect to fund formation issues, investment activities and other transactions. She also advises financial institutions, investment funds and other business entities regarding the tax aspects of the acquisition, ownership and disposition of real estate and other investments, including in the context of distressed and work-out situations, as well as in their financing and capital-raising matters.
