Hernando is a partner at Blanco Carrillo with over 20 years of experience, recognized for his strategic counsel in mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, and cross-border investments. Prior to joining the firm, Hernando was a partner at Pérez-Llorca González Calvillo for nearly a decade. In addition, he served for more than three years as an international associate in the New York office of Milbank, where he took part in highly complex international transactions. Prior to that experience, he worked for several years as an associate at Ritch Mueller, developing a comprehensive local and international perspective.
Hernando has written on energy matters, as well as project finance and mergers and acquisitions, in publications such as Panorama Actual Energético 2024 (Business 2 Value), Regulación y Mercados Energéticos (Lexology), and various international guides published by Chambers and Partners and International Comparative Legal Guides. He has also been recognized by legal directories such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, IFLR1000, Latin Lawyer 250, and Leaders League, standing out in areas such as M&A, project finance, infrastructure, and private equity.
