Daniel Del Río specializes in corporate, M&A, and transactional practice, with extensive experience in foreign investment, international and financial agreements, joint ventures, real estate, antitrust, banking securities, and insurance.
With over 40 years of experience, Daniel has advised medium and large companies on M&A, compliance, international transactions, and business strategies. He has played a key role in restructuring Mexico’s Pro Bono sector, actively promoting the participation of Mexican lawyers through the Barra Mexicana Foundation, where he served as president. Daniel is also deeply involved in non-profit foundations and associations.
Before joining SMPS Legal, Daniel led the corporate and M&A practices at one of Mexico’s largest and most prestigious law firms.
Daniel has been recognized by leading legal publications, including Chambers & Partners (Global and Latin America), Legal 500 as a top lawyer in Mexico, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal (“WWL”) as a Global Elite Thought Leader, and LACCA Approved in mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.
