Giuseppe Melotti is the one of the leaders of both Customs and Tax practices at Bichara Advogados since 2018. Under his leadership, the customs team has grown significantly, now engaging in high-stakes, multi-billion-dollar discussions that are critical to the market and our clients. Giuseppe has been instrumental in structuring major international operations to and from Brazil, solidifying the Firm’s position in global trade.

Under his leadership has led several major transactions in the past few years, including:
• Legal support for Light Serviços De Eletricidade S.A on nearly 10 judicial and administrative proceedings.
• Advising a judicial administrative defence for Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio (CBA), major producer of aluminium in Brazil.
• Legal guidance on navigating this complex regulatory landscape for Bracell SP Celulose Ltda, leading producer of pulp with substantial exports to the European Union.
