Gergely Szalóki

Gergely frequently acts for clients in the financial industry on both the borrower and lender side, and also provides financial regulatory advice for the banking and insurance sectors. He regularly advises on the regulatory aspects of market entry, corporate restructurings, provision of cross border financial, insurance, payment services and investment services and compliance matters. Furthermore, he is continuously involved in bond issue transactions representing both managers and issuers and acts for investment funds. Gergely is an arbitrator at the Arbitration Court attached to the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as at the Vienna International Arbitral Centre in the fields of Banking & Finance and Capital Markets.

Counsel and co-leader of the Banking & Finance practice at Wolf Theiss Budapest. Prior to joining Wolf Theiss, Gergely was a local partner and led the Banking & Finance practice of an international law firm in Hungary. Gergely frequently publishes in business and academic journals and holds a teaching position at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.
