Florencia Castagnola

Banking & Finance and Corporate/M&A. Her practice includes advising financial institutions in all types of banking transactions, financings (local o cross-border) and foreign trade, public and private offer of securities, sovereign debt transactions, corporate M&A, compliance matters and the fintech arena. Her area of practice also includes mergers and acquisitions, having, through the years, advised the major international and national companies in relevant projects in Uruguay. She has also focused on providing advice on compliance issues, including areas such as data protection as well as anti-money laundering.

Master in Corporate Law, University of Montevideo (2004-05). Also has an LLM in Corporate Law at New York University (New York, 2005-06). Has taught Financial Law at the University of Montevideo as Assistant Professor. Worked at Cleary Gotlieb Steen & Hamilton (New York, 2006-07).
