He graduated from Harvard Law School (LL.M.). Guzman’s international experience includes working in the New York offices of Linklaters LLP.

Guzmán, has been in the frontline of the most significant investments and transactions in the Uruguayan market in recent times. He has participated in the acquisition of Moove-It by Recognize Partners. On the other hand, the Overactive transaction is believed to be the largest M&A involving a Uruguayan company and one of the largest technology acquisitions in Uruguay's history.

Guzmán co-leads the teams in charge of the day-to-day legal work of household such as: Goldman Sachs, Banco Itaú and Coca Cola-FEMSA. He is also frequently instructed to intervene in complex corporate matters.

He has won several first prizes for his books and articles, including the Adolfo Gelsi Bidart civil procedure law prize, the Mezzera law firm commercial law prize and the 160 anniversary of the foundation of the Law School of the University of the Republic prize.

In 2022 he launched his first book, “Share Purchase Agreements”. And in 2024 released its second edition.
