Fiona has over 19 years experience at the Bar and has been recognised as a leading junior for health and safety since 2007. She is also recommended for her work in inquests and inquiries.
She is instructed in the most complex and high-profile health and safety cases and inquests and inquiries for companies, public authorities and individuals. Her cases include defending allegations of corporate manslaughter; gross negligence manslaughter and breaches of health and safety legislation.
She is currently advising a company in relation to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and the criminal investigation following the fire. She is due to appear for London Trams in the Sandilands Inquests, following the overturning of a tram in Croydon. She is also instructed for the Mayor of London and TfL in the Ella Adoo-Kissi-Debrah Inquest, which will explore the role of air pollution in the development of Ella's asthma and her death. She is instructed for an individual in the criminal investigation following the Didcot power station collapse.
Her previous cases include: the inquests into the terror attacks at Westminster Bridge and London Bridge; the inquests into the 7/7 bombings; the Lakanal House fire inquest and the prosecution following the Hatfield train crash.
