ERIC MATTSON is the co-leader of Sidley’s consumer class actions and ERISA practice area. Over his 29 years of practice, he has defended clients in the automotive, insurance, consumer products, and other industries against class actions—some challenging the sale or performance of products and services, others challenging the management of 401(k) or pension plans. He has successfully argued motions, tried cases, and argued appeals in venues across the country. Eric’s practice includes the defense of claims for breach of contract and other common law claims, as well as the defense of claims for violations of statutes ranging from ERISA to RICO to state consumer fraud laws.
