Donald heads our commercial property team and provides Real Estate advice to our banking team practising in Northern Ireland, England and Wales. Donald has acted on behalf of various banks, including Bank of Ireland, AIB, Ulster Bank, Santander, NAMA and others in secured lending. Donald has considerable experience in the care home sector acting for both operators and developers of care homes. He is retained by the owners of a number of shopping centres to provide advice on landlord and tenant matters and also on acquisition and disposal issues. He is engaged by firms outside of the jurisdiction to provide required support on NI Law matters. Recent projects include: the sale of shopping centres in England and the property DD for a major distribution warehouse in Northern Ireland. Moved to NI in 2004 and joined a leading Belfast law firm, being made a partner in 2009. Don joined McKees as a Partner in January 2019.
