James has approximately 30 years experience in all aspects of commercial property. His experience includes site acquisition and assembly and the development of commercial properties, the acquisition, disposal and portfolio management of investment properties including retail, offices, mixed use and leisure developments.

Relevant commercial property experience includes acting for:

• Benmore Octopus Healthcare Limited re development of a £100m healthcare park in Northern Ireland.

• Castlebrooke Investments in relation to its proposed £500m development of the Tribeca site in Belfast

• Corbo Limited in relation to its entire property portfolio including retail parks, shopping centres and development sites throughout Northern Ireland.

• Kilmona Group of companies in connection with all matters relating to its property portfolio including disposals and acquisitions, portfolio management and applications to the Lands Tribunal.

• The purchaser of a newly constructed distribution and storage facility within Belfast Harbour Estate including all title matters, negotiating the form of all ancillary documents, reviewing and advising the client in connection with the construction documents.

• The purchaser of an on-going healthcare business in relation to the property aspects of the transaction that included the acquisition of a private hospital.
