Practice Areas

Dan acts for clients who have sustained serious life-changing injuries, and has done since 1999. Most of his clients have sustained a spinal cord injury or a brain injury. He has particular expertise in cross-border cases: acting on behalf of British clients injured overseas or foreign nationals injured in the UK. Daniel has been involved in more than 60 cases in which the claimant has received compensation in excess of £1 million.

Career

Daniel joined Stewarts in 2000. He has been a partner and head of the Leeds office since 2003. In 2022, he took over as Head of Personal Injury.

Publications

Dan has spoken at many conferences relating to spinal cord injury and brain injury. He has appeared on television and radio, both to talk about cases in which he has acted, and also to discuss personal injury law in more general terms.

Personal

Dan is a football fan: as well as being a Manchester United season ticket holder, he also coaches a junior football team. When given the chance, he relaxes in Cornwall and Croatia.
