Stuart specialises in complex and high-value competition litigation, having advised on some of the largest cartel damages claims to be litigated in Europe. Stuart also plays a significant role with the firm’s Costs and Funding team, advising on complex and innovative funding structures.
The breadth of Stuart’s experience in this specialist area is extensive, having acted in the most high-profile competition litigation cases in the UK and Europe on behalf of major global corporates. Stuart’s clients span a wide number of industries, including construction, energy, retail, manufacturing, and technology.
Stuart has acted for clients in the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and the Competition Appeal Tribunal. He has also acted for group claimants to trial and subsequent appeals.
Career
Stuart has worked exclusively in his specialist area since joining Stewarts in 2011, before which he worked in-house for global energy giant Engie for a number of years, dealing with high-value commercial litigation. Stuart became a partner in 2018.
