Amy has over 10 years’ experience acting for individuals who have sustained catastrophic, life changing injuries as a result of clinical negligence.
Amy acts in claims where delayed diagnosis, surgical and post-operative mismanagement and medical mismanagement have caused life changing injuries.
Amy has an expertise in claims involving spinal cord injuries and with a particular interest in claims that involve the delayed diagnosis of spinal infection and injuries resulting from spinal surgery. Amy’s practice also involves cases where injuries have resulted from the mismanagement and delayed diagnosis of sepsis and meningitis.
Career
Amy joined Stewarts in 2009 having started her career in the clinical negligence department of a well respected London firm.

Amy holds specialist clinical negligence accreditation with the Law Society and is a member of APIL.
Personal
When not running around after her two young sons, Amy enjoys live music, cooking and baking. She also has a new found interest in interior design and architecture and, in particular, modernist and Scandinavian design.
Work Highlights
Recent cases include:
Lesforis v Tolias [2019] A case in which the Claimant sustained a spinal cord injury due to her post-operative management. Following a successful High Court trial in 2018 Stewarts successfully resisted the Defendant’s appeal in the Court of Appeal.
Obtaining a six figure interim payment for a child with multiple amputations following the delayed diagnosis of toxic shock syndrome.
A settlement with a capitalised value of approximately £2m for a 50-year-old man whose thoracic disc surgery resulted in incomplete paraplegia.
Achieving a settlement of £1.2m for a 56 year old woman after the delayed diagnosis of an epidural abscess resulted in tetraparesis.
