Nadia acts in complex, high-value medical negligence cases, mainly involving spinal cord injury and brain injury. She acts for claimants against private doctors, hospitals and the NHS.
Nadia has extensive experience representing clients who have sustained life changing injuries as a consequence of medical negligence.
Nadia has significant experience of High Court litigation and in particular, cases involving complex causation arguments. Nadia specialises in spinal cord injuries and brain injuries and has particular expertise in cases involving stroke and cauda equina.
Nadia regularly speaks on issues such as patient safety, documentation and compliance to NHS Trusts, charities and private rehabilitation providers. She works collaboratively with organisations to support providing the best levels of care.
Career
Nadia started her career at Stewarts over 16 years ago, as a paralegal in the medical negligence team. She started her training contract in 2010 and qualified as an NQ in 2012. Since then, Nadia been promoted to Associate and Senior Associate and has adopted senior roles in the department.
Publications
Nadia has published on topics such as the importance of early rehabilitation, red flags symptoms of spinal cord injury and the Cauda Equina GIRFT Pathway:
Nadia regularly presents training to hospitals, medical originations and charities on risk management and ‘How not to get sued’. She has presented on ‘Cauda equina from a medico-legal perspective’ to hospitals and spinal injury charities.
Nadia is a regular guest speaker at the Doctors Updates, multidisciplinary annual medical conference, in Val d’isere.
Personal
Nadia is married with two young children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, long walks, playing tennis and cycling.
