Charlie is a senior associate in the commercial dispute resolution team and works out of the firm’s Oxford office.
He covers a broad range of commercial disputes, with a particular specialism in advising on financial services disputes, shareholder and director disputes and professional negligence claims. Charlie is well versed in litigation tactics and procedure, having taken a broad variety of claims through the county courts and the High Court. In 2023, Charlie represented the Consumers’ Association (t/a Which?) as an intervener in the Supreme Court case of Philipp v Barclays.
Career
Charlie qualified in 2017 and joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2020 from a global law firm specialising in insurance litigation. Prior to that he was part of the financial services disputes team at an international law firm. During his time there he was seconded to Lloyds Bank Plc’s retail and consumer finance litigation team. Charlie was promoted to senior associate in April 2022.
